At the Regulator Bookshop in Durham, North Carolina, a full house celebrated both the one-year anniversary of Bull Spec and the magazine launch of Bull Spec: Issue #4. The event featured readings and Q&A. Rebecca discussed her novel Forbidden Cargo. It was a terrific lineup of local authors and editors, including Clay and Susan Griffith, Gray Rinehard, Andrew Magowan, Jaym Gates, James Maxey, and the evening's host, none other than Bull Spec Editor and Publisher Samuel Montgomery-Blinn. Be sure to check out the newest issue of Bull Spec: a magazine of speculative fiction. It's worth the read!

At WFC, Rebecca read a new short story and from her novel. The panels, readings and signings made World Fantasy Convention in Calgary, Canada well worth the trip, not to mention everyone reconnecting with old friends. Authors, editors, publishers, collectors and academics met to discuss new developments in the field of Fantasy art and literature.A few days prior to the convention, the Calgary Herald interviewed Rebecca about EDGE and WFC.

The World Science Fiction Convention, established in 1939, took place in Denver, Colorado this August 2008. From the Hugo awards, the author readings and signings, the panels, the masquerade to the late night festivities, it was a WorldCon to be remembered. Colorado's Ed Bryant, Wil McCarthy and Connie Willis joined in hosting the awards and giving us a lot of laughs. The publisher EDGE attended along with a small cadre of its authors including (but not limited to): Tanya Huff of Canada, K. A. Bedford of Australia and Rebecca Rowe.
