What happens when we take human evolution into our own hands? A hundred years from now, there's a secret research facility on Mars where the firstborn daughters of illegal nanogenetics have been developed along with 21 others known as the Imagofas. The firstborn daughters are Sashimu and her best friend Thesni. Back on Earth, the government finally finds out about the project and considers it a "crime against humanity." AUTHOR PANEL 2008: A Conversation on Popular Fiction

The Denver Woman's Press Club and the Rocky Mountain Sisters in Crime hosted the "Author Panel: A Conversation on Fiction" at the historic DWPC clubhouse with five authors of popular fiction: LINDA BERRY (author of Death and the Family Tree among many others), REBECCA K. ROWE (author of Forbidden Cargo), MARIO ACEVEDO (author of Nymphos of Rocky Flats), CINDI MYERS (author of Wild Child), and ANN PARKER (author of Iron Ties).

Colorado Book Awards 2007

The Colorado Book Awards honored 30 authors in ten categories. Rebecca was one of three finalists in the Popular Fiction category. The CBA Gala took place downtown at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Over 300 guests, authors and local celebrities attended. The event concluded with announcements of the winners, including Ann Parker's Iron Ties in Popular Fiction. All the proceeds benefited the Colorado Center for the Book programs for children.

Cover to Cover Call-in Show

Participating author at the 27th annual conference of the International Association for the Fantastic in the Arts Drawn by the Fantastic: Comics, Literature, Graphic Novels, Art and Literature. Each year, IAFA holds an academic conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida that focuses on Science Fiction and Fantasy genres, which includes presenting papers, author readings, as well as honoring academic achievement in the study of the fantastic. March 15-19, 2006
